[Derby] D Wayne Lukas's two chestnut
Two chestnuts were responsible for the initial success of horse racings' "Tom Brady"/ D.Wayne Lukas. The first chestnut was a racehorse bred by Ogden Phipps from a Bold Ruler mare (Sparkling)/Effervescing. Effervescing displayed a powerful stride winning the $100,000 Grade 2 American Handicap on the turf @ Hollywood Park on July 4th, 1978. Seven days later on July 10th 1978 Effervescing won the $100,000 Citation Handicap on the dirt @ Hollywood Park. The second chestnut were drawn and tubed blood samples from D. Wayne Lukas' horses that resided on a glass shelf at Truesdail lab. The glass shelving broke and the blood samples were lost. www.clockerbob.com<http://www.clockerbob.com> _______________________________________________ Derby mailing list Posting: Derby at lists.derbylist.com Sub/Unsub: http://lists.derbylist.com/listinfo.cgi/derby-derbylist.com
