[Derby] Gulfstream Turf Horses (Sal)

I don’t play Gulfstream very often anymore. Running three courses at one time is just too much of a handicapping challenge. I’ll save that subject for another time.
The first horse was a Chad Brown Maiden breaker on the turf named “Root Cause”. She took a little time finding room on the turn in a 1 1/8 mdspwt turf race. It was her lifetime second start. When she got going, she showed a very good turn of foot and went off in hand. She might have a good future ahead in Stakes races.

The other horses are both trained by Todd Pletcher. The first one is “ Kanthari” who is two for two in turf sprints. This colt ran two strong off the pace runs to win both impressively. One of his wins was on the outside after getting clear and then in the other one was on the rail in a tight late run. Both races were eye catchers.
The last one is “Emanuel”.  Emanuel has taken two graded stakes down at Florida this year. One was at Tampa and the other at Gulfstream. In both race he pulled away with strong runs. He is 3 for 4 on the turf after starting his career on the dirt. He seems to be improving.
