[Derby] Passed Posting???
I was watching Santa Anita today and in the ninth race I saw something interesting. The favorite was bet down in the race to 32 percent late before post time. During the running the percent went to 38 percent. In the stretch the percent increased to 40 percent. This is a bad sign for the industry. Know wonder betting is going down.
I was talking to a woman from Maryland Horse Breeders Assoc. who I have done business with in the past and she said something about the industry and the handle at the track. I mentioned I had a online account and have not been to the races for a while.
Been thinking they really need to close betting at sometime before post time so that odds do not change during the running of a race. It just does not look good.
