[Derby] Tyler's Tribe, BC rules, and Lasix (Terry Bjork)

The trainer of Tyler's Tribe was apparently pretty upset about the BC
"no lasix" policy after the horse bled in the BC Juvy Turf Sprint.

"What are we doing? Do we care about the horse?” Martin said. “I just
don’t understand it. If the horse needs Lasix, why not give him Lasix?”

Martin, 59, has been a trainer since 1985. He went on, “We’re supposed
to be protecting the horse. We’re protecting nothing. Lasix ain’t hurt
nothing. It just helps the horse.”

A horse "needs" Lasix, which "just helps it". But in the horse's
non-medicated state it bleeds and has to be eased. That's its
non-medicated performance.  So doesn't that make Lasix a performance
enhancer by definition?
