Re: [Derby] Miami Sid (Terry Bjork)

I think I first met Sid at one of Brad's Florida Derby parties back at
the old GP. For sure I also met him at least once at Hialeah, maybe for
a Flamingo Stakes (?), and remember being especially impressed by his
event and/or venue appropriate sartorial choices, all pastel pinks and
blues.

Sid was indeed a character, and had lots of great stories, as well as
food and entertainment tips for south Florida track visits. I enjoyed
his contributions to this List over the years, though I admit I did not
understand them all.

His life story as recounted in that obit was even more amazing than what
I already knew, which was already impressive. We meet a few very special
people like Sid in our journeys, but not nearly enough.
